Great for the price

Needed a longer straight bar than the usual 24" or less you usually see. Decided to try this instead of rogues rediculously expense one. I am very happy I did. Use it all the time. For the price it's very good. I wish the knurling was the entire bar but its also so cheap you can't get everything.

I haven't used a bar like this since I quit training at a commercial gym and I was very happy to finally find one of these available after much searching online. I don't know why straight lat pull-down bars aren't more popular in the lifting world but I love them. Did my first workout with this bar about a week ago and it was fantastic!!! The only possible improvements that might be made is to increase the length to 36" or maybe even 38" and to extend the knurling right to the ball ends on both sides, for those that need or desire a slightly wider grip option. Having said that it was phenomenal nonetheless! I had been using a bar with the hand grip area on both sides bent downward and with a welded attachment point for the cable, but the straight bar not only activates the lats better in the fully contracted position it also allows for a greater stretch in the fully extended position as well, and the revolving attachment point feels more natural throughout the entire range of motion in addition to taking the disproportionate strain off the inside of the elbows that is present when using a bar with a welded attachment point. I love this bar and would definitely recommend it to a friend.
