Love them

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars

Love these! They’re on par with rogue and are sturdy as tanks. There is a greasy film (expected for all rubber gym products), but after a wipe down they are good to go! Would purchase again for sure

Dumbbells

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars

I purchased the 50 lb REP Fitness hex dumbbells to replace my Troy VTX rubber hex dumbbells. The main reason for the switch was that I preferred a straight handle over the ergonomic handle on the Troy dumbbells.

When the dumbbells arrived, I was pleased to find that they had virtually no odor and only a minimal amount of oil on them. I knew they would be slightly longer than my Troy dumbbells, but I was surprised by how much larger the head diameter was. The REP 50 lb dumbbell heads are larger than my Troy VTX 60 lb dumbbells and only slightly smaller than my Troy 70 lb dumbbells.

This isn’t a major issue, but because the heads are wider, I won’t be able to fit as many dumbbells on my current rack if I eventually replace my entire set with REP dumbbells.

After comparing the two brands, I noticed a few differences. First, the quality control on my Troy dumbbells appears to be better. The knurling on the REP pair is inconsistent—one 50 lb dumbbell has noticeably more aggressive knurling than the other. Additionally, both dumbbells have a slight bulge at the ends of the heads. I assume this occurred during the manufacturing process when the rubber was compressed.

My only concern is whether these bulges could make the rubber more susceptible to cracking if the dumbbells are dropped over time. Fortunately, REP backs their dumbbells with a lifetime warranty, which provides some peace of mind.

Overall, I would still recommend these dumbbells. The straight handle is comfortab...

Great Dumbbells at the best price

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars

I did a lot of research before I ended up purchasing these. Their price per LB was one of the best I saw especially for the quality of these weights. I was very happy with how they were packed and the speed from ordering to home delivery!

Excellent Dumbbell Set!

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars

I'm a new personal trainer who's slowly building out a private studio in my garage and these are great! The shipment arrived early and they were package very well. Solid construction and I love the feel of the uniform grip! I already have one client using them for several exercises and they love they way they feel, too!

** Two dumbbells did have two minor dings/scrapes in the knurling but they can't be felt at all when holding them.

Perfect

I have the REP xPepins, which are also great, but for very light weights, these are still nice to have as they're more compact.

Absolutely Fantastic

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars

These are really great dumbbells as expected from REP. I love the grips they are just right. I had old school iron dumbbells where the handles were are slippery, small, and i was routinely getting paint chips in my eyes. The knurling on these is great and I love the fact that the heavier dumbbells have slightly larger handles. It makes them very comfortable. The rubber is obviously a huge upgrade from what I had. I picked this up from the PA store and saved a bunch of money and the process was extremely easy. They come with a very light coat of oil on them that they say will come off with use. I knew it would drive me crazy so i just took the time to wash them with some dawn detergent and dry them off. Absolutely love these wish i could post a picture.

Knurling is inconsistent

Rating: 3 out of 5 stars

I liked these enough to buy a second set; however, the second set has inconsistent knurling. Some of the weights have a smoother feel than others, which are sharper. It is noticeable on the sharp ones where it’s somewhat uncomfortable.

Love these dumbbells

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars

I bought several different pairs of these to have some grab and go weights in addition to the adjustables that I own. I love the feel of these dumbbells. The handle is perfect and the knurling just right. I will definitely be buying some more of these until I have a full set. I love the convenience of fixed weights. Keep up the great work
