Overall a good functional trainer with some shortcomings

Overall a great functional trainer for the price. My recommendation is do not buy the smith machine attachment, and that this would be pretty good as the all-in-one trainer version. Pros of this unit for me are the compact height, smoothness of pulleys, ease of adjustment, and compact footprint. I think if you're looking for a functional trainer on a budget this is not a bad pick. I do think after having used this for a couple months that there are some better options out there but this is by no means a bad option. It wasn't really clear to me but the only attachments this comes with are 2 strap handles. If you want any other bar attachments they are not included.

Some of the shortcomings:
Subjective - pulley ratio is 2:1. There are some 1:1 options out there but not common. The reason I bring this up is that there is no included bar where you can link both stacks. I actually emailed support to see if there was one available but apparently its only available if you buy the all-in-one trainer version of this and not sold separately so that was disappointing. But, 2:1 is a useful ratio to have since jumping up by 10 lbs depending on the exercise can be tough. However a really easy workaround to that is a weight stack pin (not included). There is a lat pulldown attachment available for this but most people would have no problem maxing it out since you can only use one weight stack at the 2:1 ratio. I’m very impressed with the build quality. Pulleys are super smooth and the machine feels very solid. Only reason it doesn’t get five stars is because the installation manual is among the worst I’ve ever had to use.

Great machine for the price!

Just got finished setting this up (the instruction manual is absolute garbage - parts were mislabeled and resulted in a bunch of guesswork), but once all was said and done, very pleased with the quality and build of this piece.

This is a great machine. Good value for the money and has taken my home workouts tot the next level! It’s easy to use and with a few extra attachements I can do everything I need from the comfort of my home! I gave it 4 stars as the Instructions are very detailed, yet somewhat blurry pics. A bit hard to follow at times and the install took a lot longer than needed.. customer service was quite helpful though when I needed them!

I picked this up at the warehouse. Great service. Came in a few boxes manageable to unload by myself. Put it together alone until I got to the pulley system stage I needed and extra set of hands to complete that portion. It’s excellent for a home gym and is the perfect size.

It's a good Smith machine, i max out the pulley trolley on one side with lat pulldown and it ain't moving . The Smith machine it self moved smoothly, cable system needs ajustement but works good

Bought this item for our home gym and it is really nice. Best thing we did was have it installed so it was less headache for us to try to figure out how to put this big thing together. The only thing we thought was odd was the clips that came with it. There was one pair of small clips, and one single medium size clip and one large size clip that doesn't fit in the hook. We thought that each size clips should come in pairs not single. So we had to contact customer service to get one more of the medium size. They didn't have it in stock but the customer service at Northern Fitness were great every time we called. We have purchased many items from them already and all of the products were awesome. We are very happy with our purchases. Thank you.

I bought the PX All-In-One Power Smith (w/o pulley weight stacks) during a sale for $1599. After tax and shipping it came out to around $1950 (I live in British Columbia).

Pros:
- Pretty solid construction, it's what you would expect
- Lots of pulley attachments included
- Cheapest price I could find

Cons:
- The smith bar counter weights weren't welded on the bottom correctly and both were leaking what I assume is iron dust in the box? Luckily it wasn't too much and I used a hot glue gun to fill in the hole. This should definitely have been spotted in quality control.
- Poorly written instruction manual. Difficult to understand what piece goes where when there's hundreds when you first open the boxes. Took me around 8 hours to put together, tighten and lube everything.
- Frame is less stable with side to side movement, particularly when using the smith bar and readjusting the frame can vibrate.
- The black plastic end caps of the tubes pop out too easily from sliding plates on/off. I've had to continuously slap them back in which can be annoying.

Overall, if you're looking for value per dollar and want a machine with a smith bar and two pulleys this machine on sale is pretty hard to beat. If you're particular about quality or are lifting very heavy, you might want to invest in something a bit more premium.

I was looking for a similar machine, I got the valentine special price and I was skeptic about this till I got it, honestly very good quality, assembly instructions are not the best but you figure it out quickly by just checking at the assembled pictures shown on this website, I wish the attachments came included but well you get what you pay for

Best budget functional trainer I could find.

Only had it for a few weeks now but so far it gets the job done. The instructions were absolutely terrible for putting it together and could not be more basic but the actual tolerances of fitment putting everything together was great. It DOES NOT include the two accessories like the tricep pulldown rope and row handle which is pretty dissapointing since they put it in the pictures.
If you're a heavy lifter you might look elsewhere but for most people this will handle great. I bought a lat pulldown bar to go with as well and it's only single middle hook which is kind of annoying. Double hook on the ends would have been better so it's easier to use both stacks. All in all though happy with the purchase and would recommend.
