Good, But... don't expect to pair to your phone or tablet.

I find it interesting that I've gone through the process of buying this, (including the $600 'free' shipping), and all along the way, there are stories of how it does everything but make the tea in the morning, which is great, but nowhere does it mention that the touchscreen versions do not pair with a smartphone or tablet, iPhone in my case.

I do feel that this should be made clear so new users don't waste their time in the first days of ownership trying to achieve something that will never happen.
It pairs with the iFit heart monitor and, I believe, headphones (but not phones).

So, no planning what you'll be doing next workout before you get onto the machine.
Sorry to be so negative, but this is a pain in the backside.

Otherwise, a decent machine.

Très bon Tapis de course.

Tapis très stable lors de mes intervalles. Reste stable même à 15% d'inclinaison. Plus raide que mon ancien norditrack mais j'aime çà car ressemble plus à la course sur route. Si vous utilisé IFit les possibilités de courses sont immenses. J'ai un coach de course donc j'utilise plus souvent le mode manuel. Je mesure 5 pieds 10 et le tapis nécessite au moins 7.5 pieds.

What an immersive experience!

We’ve had this machine for a few days now, and are sooo dang happy with it. We were replacing a commercial unit by Landice and so had high quality expectations and this far surpassed them. Originally, we concerned about two things before it arrived 1. How will we get it in the house: it was shipped on a pallet in one massive box, with 5-6 items that we could take in one at a time. Then there was the belt/running deck, which was heavy and bulky. My husband and I used appliance lifting straps and brought it in through our basement window, because it’s wider than most doors, too awkward to turn onto its side and too long to turn corners. 2. The deck is higher off the ground than most treadmills, and the amazing incline that this machine offers adds more height, so will my 6’2”husband even for on it in a room with less than 8 foot ceilings: he fits! The manufacturer recommends 9 foot ceilings, but we suspect that’s because some of the iFIT trainers to overhead stretched in the workouts. My husband can hike at full incline and run at full speed without hitting the ceiling. We ended up getting the iFIT subscription (get it from NorthernFitness - it’s the best deal and they are awesome), and feel like it takes the matching to the next level with it’s immersive content (it will change everything for you based on the activity you chose: speed, incline, decline & fan. My new favourite toy

I bought this treadmill for the 40% incline because I don't know year to year if I will be hiking or running depending on my health. Usually, it takes me a month or two in the spring to find my hiking legs but I am excited to be mountain ready as soon as the snow melts with the help of my x22i. Ifit makes my workout feel like play. I find myself doing a second workout just because it is so fun and I love being able to join the trainers as they take me through some of the most beautiful trails in the world.

I've only had it for a month so I can't speak on the longevity but I am so glad I bought it. I am enjoying it so much I convinced my sister to buy the newer version (x24). Ifit is expensive but imo it is worth it. I have hated treadmills in the past and would opt for running in the cold on icy roads instead. My nordictrack x22i has changed that for me, mainly because of the ifit program. The treadmill adjusts my speed and incline automatically, allowing me to lose myself in the experience and "enjoy the ride".
Northern Fitness was great to deal with and I have recommended them to my friends and family, even though I live in Alberta.
I just did my speed training in the sacred Valley of Peru..what more can you ask for?

Extreme training

After three weeks I'm still amazed at this equipment. Very smooth, good cushion, decent controls, and very solid feel.
It is a very large box and the pieces are very heavy. Two people recommended for the assembly. Videos detailing the assembly were easy to follow. This is my fourth treadmill assembly and it was the easiest by far.
Using the treadmill by way of the iFit software is straight forward and great for a runner/hiker looking for interesting/unique workouts. Using the treadmill in "manual" mode for more advanced training is still more difficult than it should be. So far I have yet to find a way to 'pre-program' a workout into commands that are just executed. But even having to make speed/incline adjustments manually I have done some of the most intense indoor workouts of my life.
I am happy with my purchase from Northern Fitness.

I can't say enough about this treadmill. The treadmill was never a viable option for me. Boring and clunky it had never been an alternative to my much loved outdoor run but THIS has changed my mind about treadmills. The XX2i is a beautiful piece of equipment. It looks like quality and feels the same when I run. The technology involved in this treadmill has made all the difference for me. I love IFIT. I can go anywhere in the world to run displayed on the 22 inch touch screen. The treadmill responds to the trainers outdoor experience inclining for stairs and hills and declining the same. It's so cool. My bluetooth heart rate monitor keeps me in the prescribed zone dictated my the trainer but i can override this if i want. Additionally I can do an HIIT or interval workout way better than in the past because I can hit the speed buttons (say 3 and then 7) on the right side of the screen. Same for incline/decline on the left side of the screen.
I just got back from Portugal and I was able to do a run series with Tommy Rivs who runs through Portugal. It was crazy to see some of the streets I visited. I have a race coming up in March and I able able to input my route on google map and practice pre-race.
I'll also be able to do some Crossfit/HIIIT workouts. So excited IFIT has Hannah Eden as well as a ton of other trainers.
Obviously running outside is not and will never be the same thing but my treadmill is it's own thing. Its my new favourite toy.
