Performance Monitor

The Performance Monitor is what sets the Concept2 SkiErg apart from other cross-country training devices: sophisticated yet easy to use, it allows you to accurately assess your output, monitor your progress, and compare your scores with others. Each SkiErg comes with our most advanced Performance Monitor, the PM5.

Get Connected

The PM5 monitor has both Bluetooth and ANT+ wireless connectivity, allowing it to connect to many heart rate belts, fitness devices and apps. The free Concept2 ErgData app helps you track your workouts and can sync with the Concept2 Online Logbook. Third party apps can provide additional features to help keep you motivated. Smartphone Cradle included.

Free Standing or Wall Mounted

The SkiErg can be either mounted on a wall or used with a floor stand. Wall mounting provides the most compact option, while the floor stand, with its anti-skid deck and caster wheels, provides an all-in-one solution that makes the SkiErg mobile. Either way, the SkiErg is easy to assemble, and we provide all the tools you’ll need to do the job.

High Strength Drive Cords

The SkiErg relies on high-strength cords in its drive system. Much stronger than steel, the cords are also extremely lightweight, resulting in a system that is responsive and smooth.

Flywheel and Damper

The SkiErg responds to your effort on every pull, so you are in full control of your exertion and resistance at all times. The spiral damper allows you to quickly adjust the airflow to the flywheel, so you can change the feel of the pull to suit your preference. Whether you want your workout to feel like you’re on flat terrain or an uphill climb, the SkiErg will respond to your needs.

Ergonomic Strapless Handles

The SkiErg’s ergonomic, strapless handles provide for a comfortable, secure grip and won’t absorb sweat so they stay dry in high use settings. They are also suitable for all hand sizes as they require no adjustment.

Easy Assembly

The SkiErg requires very little assembly. There are a total of twelve screws, and we include all necessary tools and clear instructions with lots of pictures.

Performance Monitor

Every BikeErg includes the most advanced Performance Monitor, the PM5. The powerful PM5 provides repeatable, comparable data for every ride. The PM5 offers automatic “Just Ride” mode, or allows you to set up a variety of workouts. The monitor gives you a wide range of data, including pace, watts, cadence (rpm) and Calories and automatically stores this information. The PM5 uses power from 2 D-cell batteries whenever it is not being powered by the flywheel.

Flywheel and Damper

The BikeErg uses the same flywheel design as Concept2's indoor rowers and SkiErg to create a responsive, continuous ride. The flywheel puts you in full control of your exertion and resistance at all times. The damper allows you to quickly adjust the airflow to the flywheel during the workout. This has a similar effect to changing gears on a bicycle. Opening the damper and letting more air into the flywheel is like shifting into heavier gear. Closing the damper lightens the "gearing".

Adjustable Saddle and Handlebars

Both the saddle and handlebar positions are easily adjustable. You can set the saddle height with our secure and easy tool-free ratcheting system. The fore and aft saddle position and angle can be adjusted for custom fitting. The handlebars move up and down, and forward and back, and with three different handlebar riding options, you can easily find the setting that’s best for you.

Chain Free

The BikeErg uses high-strength poly groove belts rather than a chain for a quiet ride. The belts are self-tensioning to help extend the life and reduce maintenance.

Lightweight and Mobile

The BikeErg’s aluminum frame makes it both light and durable, while caster wheels make it easy to move around. At just 68 lb (31 kg), it's lighter than most other stationary bikes.

The powerful performance monitor connects via Bluetooth to a wide range of apps, including the free app ErgData. The RowErg has an integrated device holder that allows you to keep your smartphone or tablet securely in place. The Concept2 RowErg is available with either standard or tall legs. The standard legs give a 14 inch (36 cm) seat height while the taller legs make the seat 20 inches (51 cm) from the floor. The RowErg with standard legs is the new name for the Model D Indoor Rower. The tall leg option replaces the Model E, which is now discontinued. A higher seat is not required for taller users, and both machines will fit inseams up to 38 inches (96.5 cm). Rowers with an inseam longer than this may require an extra-long monorail.
