Customer Service Disappointing

1 star because this machine is missing parts and I can't make contact with anyone at Northern Fitness. I have left phone messages, tried the email chat all to no avail. This equipment is not usable just a waste of money, and absolutely no customer support! Don't think I will be purchasing online anymore. I still need more equipment for my home gymn I am building. It costs too much to ship this equipment back so money wasted. This piece of equipment is absolutely useless! Have ordered from Northern Fitness before with no issues, now I have an issue and can't get a hold of them. That's the disappointing part!

Being plate loaded, it does take some getting used to to.
Assembly was easier than expected and not all that time consuming.

Purchased this after lots of research. This machine is good quality for the price (I bought it on sale). It does not match real gum quality as it is plate loaded but does the trick for a home gym. I’ve seen people use bands to get a smooth load throughout the rep but my husband and I haven’t bothered. I am rehabbing my legs after injury and it’s perfect for that and supplementary leg work to compound movements.

I found it very easy to build, does not take up much space in my home gym and it operates exactly as expected. For the cost, it certainly beats the bands I was using previously. Highly recommend, the only downside is that you have to use a clip to hold the Olympic plate adapter in place, but that doesn't bother me.

Went together pretty easily. Quick delivery. Very comfortable, I'm 6'4 and 250lbs. I'm at the end of adjustments but it still works for me.

Using 110lb of weight on it right now and no issues with the functionality.

Great home machine. Took a few moments to get use to pin placement but it’s great machine overall. If you are looking to add more than 3 plates maybe look for bigger machine but other than that it’s awesome. Use it 3-4 times a week

6'3" 300+lb strongman/powerlifter. This machine just fits me (seat back could afford to go back a little further and my tibial length pushes the limit). Despite this, it does fit me and the mechanics feel good. I've had numerous commercial gym leg extensions that have felt worse. 10/10 would recommend

I did my research on these machines before I purchased it, and the good and the bad of this machine is in line with reviews on other similar machines out there:
Pros: It is compact, and it allows one to perform these two exercises without having to go to the gym. With some creative positioning you can also us it to do other exercises (using the machine like an upright bench with a short back).
Cons: (1) It is not the most sturdy machine. When plates are loaded and one is working hard at it, the machine wobbles a little. Some other brands have a vertical bar at the back to allow people to put weight to steady the machine. This one doesn't. But not a big deal. I just lay the weight flat at the back and that works ok. (2) Given its compact nature, the machine likely won't fit people who are larger in size. I am 5'8" and weight 170 pounds. I barely could fit in it. Again, not the fault of the machine, as it is advertised as a compact machine. But if you are 200 pounds and 6 feet tall, this machine is not for you. (3) Like all other plate-load machine for the legs, you DON'T FEEL THE RESIST all the way through . The resistance increases gradually and reaches peak only at the end of the move. So, you are only getting half the exercise, really. Again, not the fault of the machine. All plate load leg curl/extension machines have this limitation. So, all in all, if you don't have a large frame and if you just want something to give the legs some workout, this machine does the ...
