GORUCK Ruck Plate Carrier 3.0

Too small for an adult male

I'm a 5'10" adult male and this plate carrier is very small. It digs into my neck and pecs. Additionally, it's very difficult to set it tight enough to stop the weighted carrier from sliding too low on my back. I would strongly recommend going to a store and trying one on (with weight) before buying. The Long version is much more comfortable but I ended up buying a REP weighted vest.

This product is great. I was looking for a plate carrier that wasn't a huge backpack with a bunch of extra space.

Overall, it's pretty comfortable for what it is. I've got 20lbs of weight in it at this point. Might be able to squeeze in a 3rd 10lb plate, but would be really tight. I know that a 30lb plate option exists for this as well.

Overall, very happy with this. Just 2 nice-to-haves:

1. Wish the straps were slightly further apart (width)
2. The plate pocket could easily be made slightly larger to accommodate a broader range of weight potentialities without compromising the design.

This is perfect for what I need. I have a Goruck 4.0 for the heavy workouts and this plate carrier for the lighter workouts or just wearing any time like when doing chores around the house. It takes a session or two to break in but after that it is comfortable. If you want to carry up to 30 pounds or want a second pack for those lighter workouts then get this carrier.

Really nice ruck sack. Holds weight securely without any extra shifting while walking/hiking. Shoulder straps were a bit stiff initially but have started to relax with use and are perfect now. Adds a really nice little kick to my workouts. The price felt high to me initially but I’m glad I invested in this ruck sack. I see a lot of rucking in my future!

the plate carrier sits nice and high on my back in a more or less ideal spot. after about 45 minutes of carrying the 30 lb plate around….i do experience some discomfort where the straps sit on my shoulders, but perhaps i just need more muscle there? overall, i am happy with the GoRuck plate carrier and i plan to put a lot of miles on it! my legs definitely get a better workout in the same amount of walking time.

Great carrier for everyday walks to increase resistance

I use this daily when walking the dog or hiking to increase resistance and, hopefully, bone health. I started rucking using my pack, thinking it would be just as good, but my small backpack created shoulder pain. The GORUCK, is super comfortable, has resulted in no shoulder pain and helps to maintain an upright posture. I love using it to do hill work. Though not a perfect fit, I use my own plates (10s; 5s and 2.5s) to accommodate any combo of 10, 15, 17.5, 20, 25 or 27.5. I haven't tried 30 lbs with my plates, but I could probably make it work too.
