Sturdy Unit

This short power rack is what I needed for the space I have. Given it's not one of those extra heavy high end units, I have been pleasantly surprized with how sturdy it is. Having the extra attachments is a nice touch for the price although I haven't used the dip bars or landmine yet. Works perfectly for my needs. The lat pulldown/row is cables with plastic/nylon wheels, and if you are doing really heavy weights maybe it wouldn't work as well, but I've had no problems with it so far with around 60-70 lbs loaded on it. The only thing I don't love is the safety bars because they aren't the easiest to adjust if you are doing both standing and bench lifts in the same workout, but it's not a deal breaker. The reason for 4 stars versus 5 is that I would like if Northern Fitness had the option to buy additional J hooks and the spotting arms that don't go the full depth, as that would solve this issue, but at this time they do not.

Great Power Rack

Highly recommend this power rack. I have short ceilings in my basement (7ft) and this power rack fits perfectly. I was worried that I would be too tall (I'm 6'2) for this short style power rack but I'm able to do everything that I could do with any other power rack + lat pull down attachment. Overall exceptional quality, especially for the price.

Nice rack

Got this shorter rack to fit in my basement (7' ceiling) and it worked out great. Very versatile and solidly built. Hasn't budged at all with use including using the attached landmine adapter which puts stress on the corner. I've added a couple pulleys on the sides for doing cable flys.

I’m overall happy with this, it does what expected for a good price.

But a few things I’d mention for those interested. I messed up and got the “short” rack. I’m about. 6 feet tall, and my head almost touches the top of the rack, it works but not ideal, be aware of that.

The pulley system definitely does the trick, but it is a cheaper rack and it shows, the pulleys are plastic, the weight sled must be loaded on both sides evenly or it binds going up. The sled can contact the upper pulley if you go too high.

You’re somewhat limited by what exercises you can do with the pulleys, as they are fixed, but you just have to get creative.

The rack seems to flex if you use the low row with any weights of around 90-100 pounds and up.

The way the lower cables little ball stop is designed to be fixed does not work at all, and you have to wrap it in tape, or it will slide down the cable as you use it.

The assembly instructions are quite vague, especially with the cable routing.
